DRIVE SYSTEM SELECTION:
Folger Adam markets locking devices and operators with a variety of dependable drive systems to suit a range of applications and user preferences. The following considerations will assist in determining which will best meet your requirements.

CONSTRUCTION VARIABLES:
Even in high quality structures, uneven wall construction is a possibility. Installed on such a wall, a roller chain device or operator tends to compensate for minor construction irregularities, and will not bind or wear unevenly.

DOOR FORCE ADJUSTMENT:
Roller chain devices, such as Type 2B, D2B and D5B, have an adjustable torque limiter which may be used to adjust operating force to the specific opening.

STAFF/EQUIPMENT SAFETY:
Free-wheeling doors may be used as an inmate weapon, or may be violently slammed to cause damage.
