Trussbilt's detention hollow metal products are used in prisons, jails, juvenile facilities and detention centers worldwide. Our hollow metal doors, frames and windows are appropriate for all types of correctional institutions, from minimum security through the most demanding maximum security applications. And, they are easily combined with Trussbilt's TrussWall system for an integrated, single source security solution that is the most cost-effective in the industry.

Doors
Trussbilt hollow metal doors use its unique TrussCore design. This monocoque design efficiently captures the enormous strength of the door skins. In our unique welding process, Trussbilt doors are welded every three inches, vertically and horizontally, linking the door surfaces and forming a single welded structure. A typical door has over 800 welding points, 50% more than doors made by our competitors. This unified structure provides greater protection against delamination.

Custom built to architectural specifications, Trussbilt doors can accommodate any requirements for size, window and hardware configurations, security levels, fire ratings, and options such as cuff ports, shackle ports, speaker and intercom devices, and Trussbilt's Safe-T-Feed device. All options are available for both sliding and swing doors.

Doors are available in mild steel, galvanized steel (A60) and stainless steel. Trussbilt detention hollow metal doors meet all ASTM requirements for security levels 1 through 4.

Frames
Trussbilt detention hollow metal frames can be customized to fit any combination of door style, height and width. As with Trussbilt's detention hollow metal doors, frames are available in mild steel, galvanized steel (A60) and stainless steel.

Applications for Trussbilt hollow metal frames include: security exterior curtain walls of any size or shape; security indoor borrowed light systems such as control rooms and dayrooms; exterior curtain walls for recreation yards; and high security cell windows.

Trussbilt's detention hollow metal products are also available for the following applications:

• Fire doors
• Bullet-resistant doors

• Draft and smoke control doors and frames
• Lead-lined doors

• Pre-finished doors and frames
